Wow. To be honest, I didn't really expect to struggle with the Lakers, but they gave us everything we could handle. The series started off looking like an easy championship for us, but it certainly wasn't going to go down like that.
Who knows if this was a fluke championship for my squad, or if the Baron Davis/Gilbert duo is truly that damn good? Odom has also played excellent since coming over from the Warriors.

Looks like Spencer is to blame for handing the championship to the Wizards when he traded them Baron Davis.
I'm totally surprised by the Wizards winning the championship. They conceeded nearly 101ppg during the regular season and only have two A- defenders on their roster.
The Wizards were on my honorable mention list in my "Championship Contenders" article. The Lakers didn't even get onto the honorable mention list. Therefore, both GMs did a great job in the playoffs.
FBB must really suck when a team of Billups, Hughes, Pierce, LeBron and Camby can't win a championship.

Baron Davis played like shit for me all year. Definately frustrating to see him play like a All-Star after he was dealt.

I think both teams made some underrated moves that propelled them into the finals. Arenas needed a star to run the show, and that allowed him to play like the superstar that he is. Davis seemed to allow Arenas to play his natural game. Odom also played well for us all season, giving us a rebounding presence that we definitley needed.
The Lakers made an extremely underrated move in getting Rasheed Wallace. While aging, he is still a very solid all-around PF. The platoon system that they have been running at C has worked pretty well, with both Nazr and Bynum playing solid. Wallace locked down the PF position and he was a great addition to the already solid defensive squad featuring Kobe and Granger. Kobe is a damn freak, and Farmar handled the ball quite well for the Lakers. Plus, the West was really weak. I don't know if the Lakers have another run in them, but they did surround Kobe with some great role players this season.

The lotto will be done later this evening. The Steeler game is coming on soon, and that is certainly my top priority. I have to finish putting the draft file in before I can sim the lotto.
