1 - Tim Duncan PF 30 7'0'' 260 A- D+ C A+ A- C
No longer the offensive force he once was, but still the most fundamentally sound big man in the league. Duncan's know-how and winning attitude keep him above the other elite power forwards.
2 - Dirk Nowitzki PF 28 7'0'' 245 A- A- C B B C
A prolific scorer from all over the court, Nowitzki is simply unstoppable with the ball in his hands. However, his defense keeps him just below Tim Duncan on this list.
3 - Kevin Garnett PF 30 6'11'' 240 A- C+ C+ A A- C
A dominant player on either end of the court and a damn fine team-player, Garnett still needs to prove that he can carry his team on his back all the way to the Finals.
4 - Elton Brand PF 27 6'8'' 265 A- C C A B+ C
One of the toughest matchups in the league, Brand is a force to be reckoned with in the paint and is quietly turning into an MVP calibre player.
5 - Jermaine O'Neal PF 28 6'11'' 242 A- C- C A- B- C
A workhorse with a venomous right hook (beware Pistons fans). JO'Neal isn't as hot on the boards as some would like him to be, but he's still a franchise player.
6 - Amare Stoudemire PF 23 6'10'' 245 A- C- C- B+ B- B
Troubled by injuries and question marks remain about his defensive effort, but nobody can deny the explosiveness of Amare Stoudemire. Some compare him to Shawn Kemp - is this a good or a bad thing?
7 - Pau Gasol PF 26 7'0'' 240 A- C- C+ B+ C+ B
Gasol is a guy who loves to run plays from the top of the key, similar to Brad Miller. He's also a solid defender and talented offensive player, but must put more effort into his rebounding.
8 - Chris Bosh PF 22 6'10'' 235 B+ C+ C B B B
Often compared to Kevin Garnett, the similarities are certainly there. Bosh can score from mid-range or post-up his opponent, and his defense and rebounding are developing nicely.
9 - Dwight Howard PF 20 6'11'' 240 B D+ C- B A- A
An absolute beast on the boards. Howard's offense isn't nearly as refined as some of the other players on this list, but his size, athleticism and potential are incredible.
10 - Emeka Okafor PF 24 6'10'' 252 B D+ D+ A- B B
A bit mechanical at times and very injury prone but, when healthy, Okafor is a force in the paint and a fine shot-blocker and rebounder.
Honorable Mention:
Chris Webber PF 33 6'10'' 245 B+ C+ C B B- D
Rasheed Wallace PF 32 6'11'' 230 B- B+ C A- C+ D
Carlos Boozer PF 24 6'9'' 258 B C- C- B- B C
David West PF 26 6'9'' 240 B C+ C- B C+ B
Zach Randolph PF 25 6'9'' 270 B+ C C- C B C
No longer the offensive force he once was, but still the most fundamentally sound big man in the league. Duncan's know-how and winning attitude keep him above the other elite power forwards.
